  Prayer

Intercessory prayer is a key contributor to the strength and vitality of a congregation. An intercessor is someone who believes that prayer changes lives. Intercession is pleading to God on behalf of the needs of someone else. Standing in the gap and praying prayers of deliverance, repentance, healing, salvation, anointing, etc., for those you are praying for.

Intercessors are Christians who find prayer much easier than others. Often they are drawn to pray at odd times, sometimes with great urgency or anguish. They may have visions of situations or people in need of prayer covering. They may have scriptures or other words of knowledge revealed to them in the midst of prayer. They may have a "burden" to pray for someone or some situation - sometimes for long periods.

Intercessors discern spiritual issues and discern God's heart in situations that need addressing. God may use them in times of spiritual oppression or for protection or breaking through when things are not working in any ministry endeavor or personal crisis.

Our current intercessory prayer team meets with the entire body on Sunday evening for a church-wide "Concert of Prayer." Please join us as we pray over our congregation, our city, our nation, and the nations of the world.

Are you called to be an intercessor? Your prayers have never been needed more. If you are interested in becoming part of the Prayer Team or would like additional information, please review our Intercession Ministry Profile, and contact ministry coordinator Kathy Groat at  kpg6789@aol.com. or Shelly Hanson at shelleyh62@hotmail.com

Below you will find the entire works on prayer by E.M. Bounds, in three PDF files. It is exciting reading that will not only provide you with great insight and wisdom about prayer, but provides testimony of God's miraculous power and intervention through prayer. Great reading!
