Senior Pastors Tyrone & Mary Garay have been
married for 18 years and have four children, Uriah, Joshua,
Samuel and Carlotta. They began their ministry in Praise
Chapel Christian Fellowship of Sun Valley, California as
assistant pastors. The church’s drive was to reach the lost
for Christ Jesus, build them up in the faith through
discipleship within the local body, and one day see them
used in a ministry to others according to their own calling.
In October of 1990, Pastors Tyrone
and Mary Garay and their young son Uriah ventured to Everett, Washington
to pioneer their own Praise Chapel church. The groundbreaking of Praise
Chapel, Everett took place on March 15, 1991. Imparting the same
vision of “Win-Build-Send”, they continued to reach out to their
community, outgrowing their first little store-front building in a
matter of months.
Now coming up on their 15th year
church anniversary, they have seen their church and ministry grow in
many ways. Since 1990, Praise Chapel has been winning, building and
sending, reaching cities and nations in various ways. Praise Chapel of
Everett is currently Mother Church to Praise Chapel Emmanuel in
Ashkelon, Israel and Praise Chapel of American Samoa. We have seen these
individuals come to Jesus, get saved, delivered and healed, and answer
the call to go pioneer a church themselves. Pastors who are now in
Alaska and our local area and leaders and ministers have been raised up
under the ministry of Pastors Tyrone & Mary Garay, as their slogan of
